ITV Pre-loader

Itv2 have 4 different idents all based around green logo. The Itv2 logo extends to reveal the number 2, which is the ITV2

logo. This then stays static as the different idents continue around it.

Then this ident continues in to many different pairs of feet dancing in wildly colored shoes. The angle in which you see the dancers changes so this is all happening around a still ITV2 logo that seems to be part of the sceen.

I really like the bright colours used in the different clothes especially against the white background, which also is part of the ITV2 brand. I also have realised that the shoes change colour, they fade in between greens and blues to reds and oranges. This is subtle but is a very graphical additive to the ident. The whole screen shakes when one of the dancers jumps close to the camera that I think is a very nice touch adding reality to the video. Some of the dancers blend in to one another that gives the quite jerky video a bit of smoothness and a cleaver link between each other.

I think this ident would be used on a Friday and Saturday night before exciting live shows rather teatime on a Tuesday. The ident is very lively, helped along by the unusual party music. I like the idea behind this idea and is pulled off very well. My only concern is as far as the ITV2 logo is a little lost throughout the video; maybe the colours used for the dancers could have been a palette of warm colours or something to compliment the green logo, instead of competing with it.
